Senior Director, Portfolio Financial Performance (Healthcare Services)
Location: Los Angeles Area, CA (Hybrid)
Reports To: SVP, Finance
Overview
A high-growth healthcare services organization operating a multi-entity portfolio is seeking a Senior Director to lead portfolio-wide financial performance initiatives across multiple operating brands. This role partners closely with executive leadership and business unit teams to improve financial outcomes, strengthen operational discipline, and enhance reporting visibility.
This is a highly cross-functional role suited for a strong operator with deep healthcare financial operations experience who thrives in complex environments and can drive measurable results across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Financial Performance & Advisory
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive finance leadership and operating teams
Drive performance initiatives tied to cash flow, collections, reimbursement outcomes, and operational execution
Identify performance gaps and develop scalable improvement plans
Provide actionable insights, recommendations, and follow-through to drive results
Integration & Portfolio Support
Support post-acquisition integration efforts from a financial operations perspective
Help align financial processes and performance expectations across acquired entities
Partner with leadership teams to implement consistent accountability and performance tracking
Reporting, KPIs & Visibility
Build and maintain KPI reporting to monitor performance across brands and entities
Develop executive-ready reporting dashboards, summaries, and performance updates
Track trends, highlight variances, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Finance, Operations, and other enterprise stakeholders to execute performance initiatives
Lead a small, high-impact team responsible for portfolio-wide projects
Influence outcomes across the organization without building large centralized teams
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare financial operations and performance improvement
Strong knowledge of payer dynamics, reimbursement models, and collections performance
Experience operating in multi-location / multi-entity environments
Proven success driving measurable improvements tied to financial outcomes
Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting
Ability to operate effectively in high-growth and/or PE-backed organizations
Executive presence with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Master's degree preferred
Travel: up to 25%
