A Manufacturing company located in Buffalo Grove is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created position reporting to the Director of Human Resources. This position will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs for a manufacturing workforce of approximately 200 employees. This role focuses on ensuring compliance, cost management, and effective communication of benefits to both hourly and salaried employees across plant and office environments. The Benefits Analyst partners closely with HR, payroll, finance, and external vendors to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, workers' compensation coordination, and wellness programs
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA) and company policies
- Manage benefits eligibility, enrollment, life event changes, and terminations for hourly and salaried employees
- Coordinate COBRA administration and leave-related benefits with third-party vendors
- Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and trends; identify opportunities for cost savings and plan improvements
- Support annual benefits renewals and benchmarking with brokers and vendors
- Prepare reports for HR and leadership related to benefits costs, participation, and compliance
- Coordinate and support annual open enrollment, including system updates, employee meetings, and plant-floor communications
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution, including escalated vendor concerns
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate deductions for multiple benefit plans
- Work closely with safety, operations, and HR leadership to align benefits with workforce needs
