Are you a nonprofit accountant looking to take on a new role where your work truly makes an impact?
A mission-driven, faith-based nonprofit in Seattle, WA is hiring an on-site Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and payroll operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys heads-down accounting work, values collaboration, and brings a warm, professional presence to a close-knit team.
The Role:
- Full-cycle accounting: GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end
- Fund accounting & donor-restricted funds
- Semi-monthly payroll for ~50 employees (Paychex)
- Financial reporting, budgeting support, and audit coordination
- Pay: Up to $40/hr. depending on experience
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of nonprofit accounting & payroll experience
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working independently
- Personable, patient, and community-oriented
