Are you a Payroll, HR and Benefits Manager open to a new opportunity and ready to jump in right away? We have this position, as well as others, so let's talk. This role is a contract engagement with one of our long-term clients and is expected to be ongoing without a definitive timeline (not short-term). While this Payroll, HR and Benefits Manager will work on a contract basis (full-time), the client is hiring overall, so you never know what opportunities may come from it. And if the engagement eventually winds down, Beacon Hill Financial will keep you busy with additional work. We have more jobs than we can keep up with!

We do need someone who is willing to work a hybrid schedule on the eastside, near the Renton area, mostly to build a rapport with leadership. There is some flexibility to make it work.

The primary focus for this Payroll, HR and Benefits Manager is payroll operations, with some benefits work included to support the overall department.

  • Oversee general payroll processing and help ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support tax updates, deductions, and payroll-related documentation
  • Serve as the main contact for routine payroll questions and troubleshooting
  • Maintain and review timekeeping and pay information
  • Assist with audits and various recurring payroll reports
  • Contribute to improving payroll processes and routine workflows
  • Prepare basic payroll-related journal entries and administrative reports
  • Partner with HR and provide general direction to a payroll specialist
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and help strengthen internal processes
  • Participate in team projects and contribute to overall department goals

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • 7+ years of payroll experience
  • Strong multi-state payroll and tax knowledge
  • Experience with large payroll systems, HRIS or ERP platforms
  • A detail-focused, solutions-driven mindset
