Position Title: Part-Time Accountant

Location:
Cleveland, OH 44115
In-office role with business casual dress code.

Position Type:
Contract or Contract-to-Hire
Part-time: 22.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday), with potential for increased hours in months 2-3.

Hourly Pay: $29-$34/hr

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3-4 months, with potential to convert to permanent

Reports To: Senior Director of Finance

Role Overview:
This project-based role is seeking an experienced accountant to manage billings for a grant-awarded contract and track donor activity within the organization's pledge accounting and collections system. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts receivable billing and grant accounting. Nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage billing for grant-awarded contracts

• Track donor activity and pledge accounting

• Handle accounts receivable processes and collections

• Support grant accounting activities

• Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes

Qualifications:

• Manager-level accounting experience or close to it

• Experience with billing AR and grant accounting

• Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced preferred)

• Self-starter with an inquisitive mindset and process improvement orientation

Preferred Skills:

• Nonprofit accounting experience

• Familiarity with donor management and accounting software (Donor Points, Enterprise System by Andar)
