We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Operations Analyst to support and oversee daily billing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring billing accuracy, system performance, data integrity, and compliance while partnering closely with finance and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of billing systems, financial reporting, and data analysis, and thrives in a process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily billing operations to ensure smooth system performance and promptly address any issues or disruptions
Generate, review, and process billing batches to ensure accuracy and completeness
Partner with finance teams to reconcile billing data with revenue reports and support close activities
Conduct audits of customer accounts and billing processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance
Implement rate changes, taxes, and regulatory surcharges within the billing system as required
Ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive customer data in accordance with internal data governance and cybersecurity standards
Maintain an up-to-date internal knowledge base on billing technologies, systems, and best practices
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of related billing, finance, or operations experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of billing processes and controls to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation
Hands-on experience managing billing systems and order-to-cash (O2C) processes
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvements
Solid understanding of data management principles including validation, storage, and protection
Customer-focused mindset with experience supporting internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Proven ability to resolve issues, manage risk, and drive solutions
Experience with contract management and compliance processes preferred
