A Beacon Hill client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. This person can be a strong Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a small but growing company, reporting directly to the Controller. This position will be hired on a contract-to-hire basis, with a competitive compensation structure between $70K-$85, depending on experience. Candidates must be able to commute on-site four days per week, with one day remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Oversee or support AP, AR, and billing functions as needed
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
