Beacon Hill is staffing for several Accounting Consultant roles in the Philadelphia and the New Jersey areas. These positions sit onsite or hybrid and usually range anywhere from $25-40 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
- Perform account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end / year-end close activities
- Analyze financial statements and provide variance explanations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Support internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to resolve discrepancies
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with system enhancements
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Qualifications
- Experience as a Staff, Senior Accountant, Accounting Clerk, AP, or AR Specialist or a similar accounting role.
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting processes
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and ability to work with financial data sets
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams
