Senior Accountant

Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting for a growing professional services organization. This role will collaborate closely with operations, project managers, and leadership to provide financial insight and maintain strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data

• Review and reconcile project revenue, WIP, billable hours, and client invoicing

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights into trends and performance

• Support AP/AR processes, ensuring proper coding and timely payment/collections

• Work with project teams to ensure accurate project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost allocations

• Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for audits

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement best practices

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies
