Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and integrity of the organization. The CFO provides strategic leadership to ensure financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term growth while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to drive informed decision-making and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management, and growth initiatives

  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decisions, investments, and capital allocation

Financial Management & Operations

  • Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, tax, payroll, and financial reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning

  • Establish and monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators

Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls

  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors

  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks

  • Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration

  • Partner cross-functionally to support operational excellence

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Oversee financial systems, tools, and technology to enhance reporting, efficiency, and scalability

  • Drive process improvements to streamline financial operations and improve data integrity

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management roles

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and boards

Preferred

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced certification

  • Experience leading finance functions in complex or high-growth environments

  • Background in [industry-specific experience, if applicable]
