Labeling Specialist - Part-Time
We are seeking a part-time Labeling Specialist with experience in package labeling, preferably within the human or pet food consumer packaged goods industry. Familiarity with dairy labeling is a plus.
Schedule: 16-24 hours/week during first shift (7 AM - 5 PM); hours may vary week to week
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with FDA/USDA labeling regulations and internal policies
Maintain accurate product labeling (e.g., allergens, nutrition, ingredient statements, claims)
Review and approve packaging artwork and text
Submit documentation for regulatory and third-party certifications
Collaborate cross-functionally to support product compliance and minimize risk
Provide labeling guidance for consumer/customer inquiries
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or related field
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Proficient in database systems and multitasking
Preferred:
Experience with regulatory documentation, product development, and food safety practices
