Job Summary:

Our client in West Chester, PA is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant on a contract basis to support their accounting operations during a peak period. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

• Perform bank and account reconciliations

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts

• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis

• Prepare documentation for audits and internal reviews

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2+ years of general accounting experience

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience in a contract or project-based environment is a plus
