Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented biologist to support cutting-edge plant science research. This position will focus on plant transformation projects utilizing advanced laboratory and greenhouse techniques. The role offers hands-on experience in agricultural biotechnology, with opportunities to contribute to innovative solutions in plant breeding and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform plant transformation procedures, including agrobacterium-based techniques.
Maintain and monitor greenhouse and controlled environment operations to ensure optimal plant growth.
Conduct routine laboratory maintenance and follow all safety protocols.
Accurately document experiments, procedures, and results.
Assist in tissue culture work, including preparation, handling, and sterile techniques.
Collaborate with scientists and technicians on research projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Plant Biology, Plant Breeding, Microbiology, or a related life science field.
At least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or professional).
Familiarity with sterile techniques and working in controlled environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience with germplasm handling or plant transformation is a plus.
