Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Biologist to join a research team focused on advancing plant biotechnology. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in biology who are eager to expand their skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and experimental workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform eukaryotic cell isolation and transfection/transformation using standard laboratory methods and liquid handling systems.

• Conduct cell-based assays (luminescence, absorbance, imaging) using manual and automated approaches.

• Analyze and visualize experimental data using software tools such as Excel or Spotfire; prepare summary reports.

• Support assay workflows, including preparation of reagents and buffers, organization of consumables, and inventory tracking.

• Maintain and monitor plant growth for use in assay workflows; collaborate with colleagues to fulfill plant tissue requests.

• Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate calibration.

• Follow laboratory safety protocols, documentation practices, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field with 1-3 years of laboratory experience (or equivalent practical training).

• Broad understanding of molecular and/or cellular biology principles.

• Familiarity with assay development, QC testing, or data analysis is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new techniques.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
