Our client, a fast-growing life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Workplace Operations Lead for a 6-month onsite contract in Cambridge, MA. This is a full-time, onsite role (5 days per week) supporting daily office operations, employee experience, and administrative functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position offers up to $30/hour pay and is targeting an ASAP start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and visitors, ensuring a seamless in-office and virtual experience
  • Manage office operations including supplies, catering, vendors, facilities, and building management
  • Coordinate company lunches, meetings, town halls, and in-person/virtual events
  • Provide administrative support to senior leadership and act as backup executive support when needed
  • Support onboarding and employee engagement initiatives, including leading engagement committees and wellness events
  • Serve as first-line support for basic IT and hybrid meeting technology needs
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records and support operational efficiency
  • Contribute to special projects aligned with organizational goals

Candidate Qualifications

  • 4+ years of office management or administrative experience (life sciences preferred)
  • Experience in fast-paced, collaborative, and hybrid work environments
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in common workplace tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom)
  • Professional, adaptable, and able to work independently with discretion
