Our client, a law firm in Downtown Philadelphia, is seeking a Receptionist to join their team on a Contract to Hire assignment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and phone inquiries, providing excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism.

About You:

  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience, preferably in a legal or professional environment (but not required).
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks, from routine administrative work to more urgent needs as deadlines approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a calm demeanor during hectic times.

About the Job:

  • Greet and liaise with clients, guests, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and gather necessary information before transferring calls to the appropriate attorney or department.
  • Assist in handling mail, faxes, and letters, ensuring efficient processing and timely delivery.
  • Provide clerical support, including filing and office organization, during downtime or as needed.
  • Ensure a smooth reception area, providing a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors.
  • Be prepared to handle busy moments during deadlines and peak hours, while maintaining a calm and organized demeanor.
  • Handle client and guest inquiries with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

The role requires someone who can effectively manage both quieter periods and busy, deadline-driven times. This position pays up to $19 per hour while under contract and offers a salary of $40,000 per year upon hire.
