Our client, a well-established healthcare organization located in Cambridge, is seeking a Patient Services Representative to temporarily join their team. This is a full-time, on-site role with working hours from either 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. It is compensating $22 an hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and verify insurance and demographic information
- Collect copayments and reconcile payments accurately
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits across departments
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Assist clinicians with patient communication and prescription follow-ups
- Maintain accurate records and assist with billing and insurance questions
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and mail processing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of customer service or administrative experience (healthcare preferred)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Strong organizational and math abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes a plus
