Job Posting: Office Manager (Temp to Hire)
Location: Waltham, MA
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Work Arrangement: 4-5 days onsite
Pay: $30-35 (pending years of experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Parking: Free on-site parking available
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Office Manager for a temp-to-hire opportunity at a fast-paced and growing biopharmaceutical company in Waltham. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, supporting various departments, and creating a positive, professional experience for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the overall efficiency of office operations
- Order and track office supplies, manage inventory, and coordinate facility maintenance
- Schedule meetings, manage conference rooms, and support company events and team gatherings
- Coordinate daily lunch catering and general office logistics
- Assist with new hire onboarding, including workstation setup and orientation
- Maintain clean and organized reception and common areas
- Greet visitors, answer phones, manage mail and deliveries
- Provide administrative support to executives and teams as needed
- Assist in office move logistics and cross-functional projects
- Maintain company files, records, and databases
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in a similar role, or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience
- Background in office administration, hospitality, or concierge services
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and adapt to shifting priorities
- Professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor
