Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all staff, verifying accuracy of time records, earnings, and deductions.

• Leverage payroll systems such as Paychex to streamline payroll operations and generate detailed reports.
• Review and interpret payroll data to detect inconsistencies, taking corrective action in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting and ledger reconciliation.
• Stay up to date with and ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain organized and current employee payroll records, including tax documents, direct deposit details, and benefit deductions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and process insights.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of experience in payroll management
• Experience processing union payroll is required
• Ability to utilize payroll software, experience with Paychex is a plus!
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
