Beacon Hill has partnered with a large non-profit in Chicago in hiring a Compensation Analyst to start immediately! This role will help ensure compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Job Summary:
The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for analyzing compensation data, developing salary structures, and ensuring the organization remains competitive in the job market. This role works closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to support compensation strategies and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of salary structures and compensation programs
  • Evaluate job descriptions and perform job analyses to determine appropriate compensation levels
  • Participate in annual compensation cycles, including merit reviews, bonus planning, and salary adjustments
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support compensation-related decisions and communications
  • Maintain compensation-related data in HRIS and ensure data integrity
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and analyses to support leadership decision-making
  • Stay current on compensation trends, regulatory updates, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) is a plus
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or working towards certification is a plus
