Job Title: Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Back Bay, Boston
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Type: Temporary through end of August (potential to extend)
Work Environment: 100% in-office
Pay: $21
Position Summary:
A mission-driven early learning center in Boston is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to support daily operations at its central office. This is a part-time, temporary position with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and comfortable working in a childcare setting with diverse families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome all guests, families, and staff in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Monitor and manage building entry, including buzzing in visitors
- Maintain accurate sign-in/sign-out logs for guests
- Keep the reception area tidy and welcoming
- Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable commuting via public transportation (no on-site parking available)
