Our client, a large Boston-based university is seeking a Development Associate to join their Advancement team in a full-time, 6-month temporary role with potential to extend. This position is onsite in Boston, with some flexibility after training. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:00pm (37.5 hours/week), and pay is $33/hr. The Development Associate will support the College of Arts, Media and Design, College of Health Sciences, and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support including calendar management, travel arrangements, donor outreach, expense reconciliation, and event preparation
- Draft communications, manage alumni and donor outreach, coordinate mailings and maintain accurate donor records
- Lead logistics for projects and events, collaborating with departments and central advancement teams
- Maintain and manage data in relationship management software and generate strategic activity reports
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years office experience, ideally in higher education or development
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
- Hardworking, organized, and eager to learn
