Our client is seeking a temporary Housing Eligibility Specialist to provide support for their section 8 housing program. If you are located in Annapolis, MD and have 2+ years of relevant experience, apply now!
About the Job:
- Determine applicant eligibility for housing programs by conducting interviews, verifying documentation, calculating income, and assessing rent and affordability in accordance with federal regulations.
- Coordinate with landlords to manage lease agreements, negotiate rents, complete contracts, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry in housing software systems, including resident move-ins, income changes, rent calculations, and voucher processing.
- Conduct briefings for new residents and landlords, respond to inquiries from applicants and community partners, and manage ongoing eligibility through recertifications and interim adjustments.
- Complete additional tasks/special projects as needed.
About You:
- A bachelor's degree in management, public administration, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of housing program or property management experience are required.
- Experience with low income tax credit or section 8 vouchers is required.
- Experience with Yardi is required!
- Tech savvy with strong MS Office Suite skills.
- Professional and personable with excellent customer service capabilities!
About the Position:
- Pays $26/hr-$30/hr, depending on experience.
- Converts to a salary of up to $65k, when permanent.
- Starting ASAP!
- Hours are 8:00am-4:30pm.
- Hybrid with 4 days/week onsite in Annapolis, MD.
