Beacon Hill has partnered with a technology company in downtown Chicago in hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to start immediately. This role is on-site 5 days a week and starts immediately. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in delivering a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires. This position supports all HR operational processes related to employee onboarding, compliance, and personnel data management, ensuring a seamless transition for employees from offer acceptance through their first day and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the onboarding process, including employment paperwork, background checks, I-9 verification, and orientation scheduling.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing timely communication and guidance throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Partner with hiring managers, IT, and facilities to ensure all onboarding logistics (equipment, access, workspace setup) are completed prior to start dates.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS and ensure compliance with internal data integrity standards and federal/state regulations.
  • Create and distribute onboarding materials, welcome packets, and orientation agendas.
  • Support HR operations processes including personnel file maintenance, status changes, and offboarding documentation as needed.
  • Track and report onboarding metrics such as completion rates, new hire feedback, and process improvements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the employee experience and streamline HR workflows.
  • Provide general HR administrative support to the broader HR team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in HR operations, onboarding, or a related administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; customer service mindset.
  • Experience using HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paylocity, or similar).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
