Our client, a nonprofit located in Midtown, Manhattan, is seeking to hire a Temporary Lead Administrative Assistant to support a C-level executive and their direct reports. This position starts ASAP and will be needed for 2 months until mid-January. This person would operate on an remote schedule, except one week a month where in-office hours are required. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. Pays up to $40/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, calls, and travel arrangements.
  • Handling correspondence, mail, calls, and emails; preparing expense reports and check requests.
  • Drafting, editing, and proofreading contracts, presentations, and correspondence in Microsoft Office.
  • Supporting research, data management, and reporting (database queries, metrics tracking, contact management, meeting notes).
  • Coordinating internal/external meetings and events (scheduling, logistics, catering, A/V setup, materials preparation).
  • Producing and distributing meeting materials (agendas, documents, PDFs, binders).
  • Providing general administrative support (filing, copying, record keeping, backup coverage).
  • Assisting with administrative projects.
  • Welcoming guests, accepting deliveries, and staying informed about Blue Meridian's work through reading and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of administrative experience
  • Degree required
  • Flexible, team-oriented attitude
  • Proactive and confident asking questions and following up
  • Strong writing and computer skills
  • Tech savvy, especially with Zoom and PowerPoint
  • Experience in nonprofits or mission-driven organizations is a plus
