Job Title: Customer Service & Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Carrollton, TX 75007
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Pay Range: $18+ per hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Position Overview
Our client in the packaging/manufacturing industry is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Customer Service & Purchasing Coordinator to join the team. This role involves heavy email communication with vendors, processing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate data entry. While phone calls are part of the job, most communication will be via email, so strong written communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with vendors via email and occasional phone calls.
- Process and manage purchase orders in the company system.
- Input and update orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain organized records and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the purchasing function and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with team members and remain coachable.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to write clear, professional emails.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Customer service experience.
- Detail-oriented with common sense and strong people skills.
- Team player with a calm demeanor and willingness to learn.
- Punctuality is critical.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in purchasing or working with vendors.
- Familiarity with order processing systems.
