Our client, a financial services firm, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations and senior professionals in a small, fast-paced environment. This is a 3+ month onsite role located in Boston, with hours of 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and pay at $35 per hour, with potential for permanent hire. The company operates within the professional financial services sector, supporting high-level advisory and investment functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including travel coordination, calendars, phones, meeting setup, and expense reporting
  • Maintain daily office operations and ensure office standards are met
  • Serve as point person for facilities coordination and office maintenance needs
  • Escalate and coordinate IT issues and support office equipment
  • Monitor and manage office supply inventory
  • Manage document storage and retention
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Coordinate and support office events for up to 40 attendees
  • Support hiring and coordination of additional administrative staff
  • Prepare presentations using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Handle mail, vendor coordination, and general office management duties

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Several years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, or similar role
  • Prior experience in investment banking, hedge funds, private equity, legal, or financial services strongly preferred
  • Basic accounting experience including expense reports and accounts payable
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • High level of discretion with confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours
  • Experience coordinating special events
