Our client is looking for a customer-focused Fitness Center Front Desk Associate to serve as the welcoming face for their on-site employee fitness center. This role plays a key part in fostering a safe, clean, and engaging wellness environment that supports employee health and satisfaction. As the first point of contact, you'll deliver exceptional service while ensuring daily operations, safety standards, and facility protocols are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet employees with a professional and positive demeanor and assist with questions related to fitness center policies, services, and equipment
- Monitor facility usage, enforce occupancy limits, and ensure proper equipment use
- Conduct routine safety checks of equipment and facility spaces; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, including inventory of towels, supplies, and amenities
- Provide basic equipment orientations and conduct facility tours for first-time users
- Address employee questions, feedback, and concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate locker and usage records
- Support wellness events and marketing initiatives as needed
- Generate weekly usage reports and complete assigned administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a face-to-face environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional appearance
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn facility management software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evening hours.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Previous experience in fitness, recreation, hospitality, or facility management preferred
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and general exercise principles
- Experience supporting facility operations, maintenance coordination, or wellness program
- Familiarity with membership management systems or similar databases
