A leading corporate advisory firm is seeking an organized, poised, and service‑oriented Receptionist to support its rapidly growing Chicago office. This front-office role serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and is central to supporting daily operations, events, and the broader administrative team.
What You'll Do
- Managing the office switchboard, screening calls, directing inquiries, and taking messages
- Greeting and welcoming visitors; issuing passes and monitoring the visitor management system
- Coordinating conference room calendars and ensuring rooms remain tidy throughout the day
- Maintaining the appearance and professionalism of the reception area
- Collaborating with the Office Manager to streamline administrative workflows and procedures
- Building strong working relationships with local, U.S., and international teams
- Receiving and unpacking office deliveries
- Supporting daily office tasks such as dishwasher operation and clearing perishables
- Assisting with catering setup and breakdown for meetings
- Providing backup support to the administrative team and taking on additional tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
- 1-3+ years of administrative or customer service experience, ideally within a fast‑paced, client‑focused professional services environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
- Confident judgment, proactive mindset, and ability to adapt to changing needs
- Team‑oriented but able to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (occasionally)
