Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the education sector based in Boston, is seeking a Temporary Executive Assistant to support the CEO during a period of high demand. This is a part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week, spread across weekdays) offering $30-$32/hour, running through at least late March with strong potential to extend through May and possibly beyond. The organization focuses on improving outcomes for urban children by expanding access to effective, experienced teachers, and the role supports senior leadership in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the CEO's calendar, scheduling internal and external meetings with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Prepare meeting materials, track action items, and support follow-through across stakeholders
  • Draft and edit correspondence on behalf of the CEO as requested
  • Coordinate travel logistics, expense reports, reimbursements, and invoices
  • Support logistics for Board meetings, executive convenings, and key events
  • Maintain organized documentation and reinforce existing executive office systems
  • Provide ad hoc administrative and operational support as needed

Candidate Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting a senior executive as an Executive Assistant
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and professional judgment
  • Discretion and comfort handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to anticipate needs, manage up, and remain calm under shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with modern office tools and executive support workflows
