We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Sales Representative who possesses unmatched people skills. This is not a desk job. This role (contingent on hiring location) covers Raleigh, Wilmington, Fayetteville, and surrounding markets.
The Sales Representative position requires someone who enjoys working outside of a cubicle and is comfortable talking to anyone. This individual will be responsible for selling products and services to commercial businesses within a designated service area.
The qualified candidate will have at least 3 years of successful Business-to-Business sales experience and a Bachelor's degree.
Core Functions
Promote products and services to existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
Work with potential clients to understand and address long-term needs
Details of the Role
80%: Generate new business for products and services, including (but not limited to):
Permanent front-load and roll-off services
Temporary roll-off services (typically for construction sites)
20%: Retain and grow existing customers through a proactive approach
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers
Initiate calls and conduct in-person visits with current and prospective customers
Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations
Expedite resolution of customer issues
Analyze market potential and determine value opportunities
Maintain strong knowledge of all services and products offered, with particular focus on front-load trash services
Qualifications
Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment with front-line customer interaction
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong networking abilities
Professional, presentable appearance
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Highly sensitive to client needs with the ability to build long-term relationships
Adaptable to a variety of personalities and situations
Outgoing personality with a willingness to engage anyone
Strong time management and organizational skills
Experience using CRM software to manage activities and sales pipelines
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Strong math skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Waste management industry knowledge is a plus
