This is a 5-month, onsite Office Assistant - Residential Services opportunity supporting a large academic institution's housing and residential services office. The role runs March 1, 2026 through August 15, 2026, is based onsite in Cambridge, and is 35 hours per week, offering $24.75/hour. The position supports graduate and undergraduate housing operations, with a strong focus on customer service, documentation, and high-volume communications during peak housing cycles.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage graduate housing cancellations, renewals, sublicensing, and self-selection processes
- Track daily housing data and maintain accurate records for leadership reporting
- Respond to resident inquiries and provide guidance during self-selection and peak periods
- Support phone bank operations to ensure timely response to resident questions
- Assist with housing communications via email, phone, and online ticketing systems
- Approve and process sublicensing requests and proof of residence documentation
- Create and maintain process documentation, policies, and correspondence
- Provide general administrative support to graduate and undergraduate housing teams

- Highly organized with strong time-management and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling high volumes of inquiries in a fast-paced environment
- Confident building relationships with residents and internal stakeholders
- Resourceful and calm under pressure, especially during peak housing seasons
