A growing organization is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll, benefits, and 401(k) administration across multiple entities, including newly acquired operations. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processes while serving as a trusted resource for employees and leadership. This role in onsite 5 days a week in Tinley Park.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing across multiple entities and payroll cycles
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and wage laws
  • Manage tax withholdings, garnishments, supplemental pay, and year‑end reporting (W‑2, ACA)
  • Maintain accurate employee classifications, timekeeping, and payroll records
  • Administer benefits programs and lead annual Open Enrollment
  • Manage 401(k) contributions, audits, compliance testing, and employer matching
  • Partner with vendors to maintain payroll and benefits systems and integrations
  • Facilitate payroll and benefits audits and implement process improvements
  • Serve as the primary payroll and benefits resource for employees

What We're Looking For

  • 5-10+ years of payroll administration experience
  • Deep knowledge of payroll compliance, taxes, and wage regulations
  • Strong experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) and MS Excel
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage sensitive data with discretion
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Business, or related field
