This full-time Associate Director, Events role supports a mission-driven, higher-education-based entrepreneurship organization. The position runs through September 18th, is based onsite in Cambridge and follows standard hours of 9:00-5:00 with unpaid lunch, plus occasional evenings, weekends, and limited travel. The pay for this role is $28.75/hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute high-profile, large-scale entrepreneurship events and speaker series
- Manage end-to-end event logistics including budgeting, vendors, venues, contracts, and timelines
- Collaborate with faculty, students, internal teams, and external partners to deliver impactful programming
- Recruit and manage high-profile speakers and maintain event and speaker databases
- Develop project plans, reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership review
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and oversee financial reconciliation and vendor payments
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of event, project, operations, or program management experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proven ability to manage complex events independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Interest in entrepreneurship and enthusiasm for working with students and academic communities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and comfort handling confidential information
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
