Collections Specialist

Location: Fort Worth, TX (76177)
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Specialist to support our post‑charge‑off and asset location efforts within the auto finance operations team. This role involves coordinating with authorized vendors, utilizing telematics and investigative tools to help locate vehicles and customers, and facilitating account resolution in a professional and compliant manner.

This position is well‑suited for individuals with a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in collections, skip tracing, or telematics-based recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of post-charge-off accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination with approved vendors.
  • Utilize telematics resources and authorized databases to assist in identifying the location of vehicles and updated customer information.
  • Handle inbound customer calls related to account status, reinstatement options, payoff details, and vehicle return arrangements.
  • Collaborate closely with skip tracing and recovery partners to develop effective strategies and support resolution efforts.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring compliance, performance expectations, and internal policies are met.
  • Document all activities thoroughly and accurately in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Auto finance or collections experience preferred
  • Experience with skip tracing, telematics tools, or asset location highly valued
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Training & Work Environment

  • Training Program:

    • Approximately 1 month of structured classroom and hands‑on training
    • Includes a guided nesting period
    • Fully onsite | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
