Our client, a global technology company, is seeking an HR Compliance & Operations Specialist (Contract) to support HR operations and compliance initiatives through the end of the year. This role focuses on executing standardized HR processes, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and supporting regulated programs in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain documentation for core HR operations and compliance processes
- Process HR transactions and manage cases using HRIS and ticketing tools (e.g., Workday, Jira) in accordance with established SOPs
- Handle confidential employee and candidate data in compliance with data protection standards
- Support contingent worker onboarding/offboarding and maintain vendor and agency documentation
- Assist with audit preparation, compliance reporting, and internal controls testing
- Maintain accurate records for regulated programs, including Public Trust and immigration documentation
- Coordinate and track regulated onboarding workflows (background checks, clearances, work authorization), escalating exceptions as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve templates, checklists, and workflows to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Support low-code workflow improvements using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, shared services, or similar process-driven roles
- Hands-on experience with Workday and case/ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Service Desk)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain audit-ready documentation
- Experience handling confidential HR data in compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR exposure a plus)
- Ability to manage repeatable work queues and follow defined procedures while escalating exceptions appropriately
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Public Trust, government clearance, or regulated onboarding programs
- Experience with immigration, I-9/E-Verify, or right-to-work compliance
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform or workflow automation tools
- Bachelor's degree and/or PHR certification
