E-commerce company located in Dumbo, Brooklyn is looking to hire a Long Term Temp Workplace Facilities Associate to join the team. The position starts March 2026 through December 2026. Monday - Friday onsite, 7am-4pm.
This role will support with maintaining a clean, safe and collaborative office environment. Under this role, the Facilities Specialist is responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance of the building systems, and for providing the highest quality customer service in a responsive and efficient manner to all employees and executives in headquarters office in Brooklyn, NY.
In this role you will:
- Be the face of the Workplace Facilities team! Provide an outstanding employee experience by maintaining Zendesk service tickets and Workplace slack channels, ensuring our team understands their needs and delivers the right solutions in a timely manner.
- Perform walkthroughs and audits to ensure our office meets and exceeds expectations by identifying any issues and taking corrective action including but not limited to conducting repairs onsite, putting in a service ticket with property management or partnering with a vendor to have them complete the task.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and systems which may include but is not limited to kitchen appliances, recycling programs, pest control and BMS controls.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with building management, suppliers, service providers, and vendors.
- Assist in Workplace facilities operations by partnering with the Events team for room configuration changes, the Gatherings team for event setups and the food team for assistance in maintaining our food service appliances such as kegs and snack programs.
- Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at the firm's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.
Ideally you'll bring:
- 2+ years of building maintenance and project management experience, specifically in a commercial office setting.
- Proven track record to project manage and prioritize multiple projects
- You are an organized, efficient and inventive self-starter with strong problem solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills and excellent time management abilities
- Proficient digital literacy. Experience with Google suite, Monday.com and Apple devices is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'll work alongside a diverse community!
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
- Maintain a personal schedule to remain flexible for off hours/emergency support.
- Strong electrical, mechanical and technical skills are preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines, a plus.
