Our client, a global professional services and consulting firm, is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist/Administrator to serve as the first point of contact while providing comprehensive administrative and office operations support to a busy office. This is a full-time, in-office contract role (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM) based in Boston, MA, offering $22/hr.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations including phones, visitor greetings, mail, deliveries, and shipping
- Serve as primary point of contact for building security, guest sign-in, and keycard coordination
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling, call screening, email correspondence, printing, and vendor coordination
- Assist with office finance tasks including expense reconciliation, invoice processing, and budget tracking
- Support onboarding and visits for new hires, international visitors, and transfers, including travel coordination and office tours
- Coordinate office meetings, events, catering, and disaster preparedness efforts
- Provide backup facilities support including supply ordering, inventory management, and maintenance requests
- Contribute to special projects as needed
Candidate Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a front desk, receptionist, customer service, or professional services environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment
