Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal for a contract to permanent, fully onsite opportunity with our client in Midtown, Atlanta. This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday, during standard business hours.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm setting. Essential duties:
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- File and serve documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing).
- Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and manage attorney schedules.
- Organize, index, and manage physical and electronic case files.
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather case-related information as needed.
- Review and summarize discovery materials and deposition transcripts.
- Manage billing, time entries, and expense reports for assigned attorneys.
