Beacon Hill is seeking a Legal Business Development Manager for a hybrid role in Dallas, Austin, or Houston with our client. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Intelligence
- Research Texas-based law firms, corporate legal departments, and legal leaders
- Identify market trends driving demand for legal staffing and managed legal solutions, including:
- Litigation surges (class actions, investigations, antitrust, mass torts)
- Corporate activity (M&A, contract backlogs, compliance initiatives)
- Regulatory changes, enforcement actions, and technology adoption
- Track industry developments impacting staffing needs (eDiscovery, CLM, AI adoption, cost pressure)
Business Development & Outreach
- Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to legal decision-makers
- Build relationships with:
- General Counsel & Deputy GC
- Legal Operations leaders
- Law firm partners and practice leaders
- Conduct introductory calls and meetings to understand client pain points
- Position tailored legal staffing and managed services solutions
Pipeline & Relationship Management
- Maintain a structured pipeline of prospects and opportunities
- Coordinate closely with internal delivery and recruiting teams
- Support proposal development and pricing discussions
- Attend and leverage Texas legal events, bar associations, and industry gatherings
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience
(legal staffing, ALSP, law firm services, or professional services strongly preferred) - Strong understanding of law firm and in-house legal environments
- Experience researching and engaging senior-level legal stakeholders
- Ability to translate market trends into actionable sales opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a growth-oriented role
- Proficient with CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and research tools
Preferred Experience:
- Legal staffing or alternative legal services
- Selling managed review, contract services, compliance support, or legal operations solutions
- Experience in Texas legal markets (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio)
- Familiarity with legal technology trends (eDiscovery, CLM, AI in legal)
