Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Generalist - Part-Time (Contract)
Pay Rate: $25-$27/hour
Schedule: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Accounts Receivable (AR) Generalist to support one of our valued clients. This contract position involves managing a variety of AR functions, including collections, credit processing, billing, customer service coordination, credit card transactions, end-user statement analysis, and cash application. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile daily accounts receivable deposits
Apply customer payments to accounts accurately and promptly
Maintain and update the Customer Master File
Process customer credit card payments securely and efficiently
Make collection calls to ensure timely payments
Process credit applications and requests in coordination with the Credit Manager
Review and process credit/debit memos and return material authorizations
Review service and sales orders for accuracy and completeness
Provide backup support for invoicing as needed
Understand and communicate company quality policies, your role in quality assurance, and the importance of meeting customer requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or Associate's degree, or equivalent work experience
2-3 years of experience in collections and cash application
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; ERP experience (Avante or IFS) preferred
Strong math skills for handling transactions and documentation accurately
