Title: Desktop Support Analyst
Location: Primary location is Big Rapids - Multiple sites are supported, and driving is required.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 month contract
Hours / Shift: 8-4/5pm M-F, 35-40-hour work week
Important Skills
Technical - MS Office Suite applications, Windows, Active Directory
Soft - Communication skills
Essential Skills:
Strong experience supporting and working across various hardware and software environments, particularly Microsoft Windows OS, device drivers, and peripheral equipment.
Deep familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Skilled in setting up and resolving issues with email clients, especially Microsoft Outlook.
Proficient in managing user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
Typical Responsibilities:
Serve as a Tier 2 and Tier 3 support resource for troubleshooting end-user issues involving desktops, laptops, peripheral devices, network connectivity (both remote and onsite), email platforms, and software tools-most notably, the Microsoft Office suite.
Deliver high-level technical assistance to users, resolving hardware and software challenges promptly and efficiently.
Develop and maintain internal documentation outlining procedures for new hardware and software installations.
Set up, configure, and support a range of mobile devices, including BlackBerry, Android, iPhones, and Windows-based smartphones.
Utilize systems like SCCM or Altiris for device management, software deployment, and configuration control.
Manage and update standard computer images and application packages; oversee hardware and software compliance reporting.
Oversee patching and routine software updates across desktop systems.
