Join a dynamic and respected law firm that is in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal/Legal Assistant. We are looking for a talented individual with a minimum of two years of recent experience in immigration law, with a preference for those who possess expertise in family-based immigration and removal defense.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage tasks within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a must.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a demonstrated ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented setting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters under the supervision of our dedicated attorneys.
  • Prepare USCIS immigration petitions, affidavits, and various legal documents with precision.
  • Communicate effectively with USCIS and other agencies on behalf of clients, ensuring top-notch representation under attorney supervision.
  • Organize and maintain case files, guaranteeing all documentation is both accurate and current.
  • Review correspondence from USCIS and other agencies, setting appropriate and timely deadlines.
  • Provide invaluable support to attorneys in all phases of case preparation.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case status, evidence collection, and requests for documentation.
  • Draft compelling correspondence to USCIS and other governmental agencies.
  • Request and obtain necessary criminal records on behalf of clients.
  • Diligently track and meet critical case deadlines.
  • Assist in preparing clients for immigration interviews and court hearings, fostering confidence and readiness.
  • Carry out additional administrative and case-related duties as needed.
