Job Summary:

A manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. This position is instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory valuations, standard costs, and improving financial performance through cost analysis and control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and monitor standard and actual costs for variances and investigate significant differences.

• Prepare journal entries.

• Perform month-end close duties.

• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to provide cost insights and support budgeting and forecasting.

• Prepare and analyze gross margin reports, manufacturing variances, and inventory reconciliations.

• Lead annual standard cost roll and support physical inventory counts and audits.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline cost accounting operations.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls related to inventory and costing.

• Support financial audits and provide required documentation for auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
