Role Overview:
A well-established financial services company is seeking a finance associate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational background in accounting and a strong interest in working with financial data to gain exposure across a wide range of finance functions.
The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and comfortable working with large datasets, with a strong command of Excel and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and manage large financial data sets to identify trends and variances.
Prepare recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports.
Support ad hoc reporting and data requests across the finance team.
Conduct analyses related to:
G&A expenses
Fund-level activity
Advisor fee structures
Back-office and operational expenses
Maintain and enhance existing financial data workflows and reporting tools.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other finance and operations teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Assist with ongoing improvements to financial reporting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Accounting preferred).
1+ years of experience in an accounting, financial analyst, or data reporting role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dynamic formulas, etc.).
Comfortable working with evolving and variable data sets.
Solid analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Effective communicator, able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders across finance.
Familiarity with financial systems, databases, or BI tools a plus (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
