Position Summary:
A global manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their organization. This role will play a key part in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for conducting cost analysis, inventory reporting, and helping drive insights that support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long-range planning processes
Perform monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations
Analyze standard and actual costs, and investigate variances
Track, reconcile, and report on inventory levels, movements, and valuation
Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant teams to support cost control and inventory management initiatives
Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support key business metrics
Support month-end and year-end close activities related to cost accounting and inventory reporting
Assist in continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting
Participate in cross-functional projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus)
2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) preferred
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
Effective communication skills to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
