Accounting Manager
A private equity-backed financial services company is seeking a new Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and support financial reporting for a growing financial services company. This role will focus on loan-related accounting and investor reporting, with responsibility for managing a small team and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
Oversee investor and regulatory reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support month-end close, financial reporting, and annual audits
Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
Monitor portfolio-level balance sheet risks and loan sales activity
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, compliance, and other departments
Mentor and develop accounting staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within the financial services or banking spaces
Public accounting or audit background strongly preferred (internal controls focus)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
