About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to join a leading publicly traded company headquartered in Philadelphia. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team at a well-established, industry-leading organization. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing core accounting operations, supporting SEC reporting requirements, and driving continuous improvements in a dynamic corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with external financial reporting, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.), ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit and review procedures.
Monitor and implement accounting standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance efficiency within the accounting function.
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountants to support professional growth and team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting practices.
Experience with SEC reporting in a public company environment preferred.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
