About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to join a leading publicly traded company headquartered in Philadelphia. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team at a well-established, industry-leading organization. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing core accounting operations, supporting SEC reporting requirements, and driving continuous improvements in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Assist with external financial reporting, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.), ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit and review procedures.

  • Monitor and implement accounting standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance efficiency within the accounting function.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountants to support professional growth and team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting practices.

  • Experience with SEC reporting in a public company environment preferred.

  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
