Position Summary

We are partnered with a life sciences organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This role supports core accounting functions and financial reporting, working closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient close processes. The position is hands‑on and well suited for professionals with strong technical accounting fundamentals and experience in fast‑paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations across cash, accruals, prepaids, reserves, and debt accounts

• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, including preparation of GAAP financial statements

• Support external audit activities and respond to auditor requests

• Ensure compliance with applicable reporting and tax requirements

• Document, refine, and enhance accounting processes and internal controls

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support to leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience

• Public accounting background preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or CMA designation a plus

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles

• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, and communication skills
